Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi vs Oregon – Jan. 1, 2010
#8 Buckeyes 26, #7 Ducks 17

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor (No. 2) passed for a career-high 266 yards and two touchdowns, including a 17-yard score to receiver DeVier Posey with just over seven minutes to play, ending Ohio State’s three-game BCS skid with a 26-17 win over Oregon in the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes’ much-maligned offense kept the high-scoring Ducks off the field and held the ball for a Rose Bowl-record 41:37 time of possession.

Sugar Bowl vs Arkansas – Jan. 4, 2011
#6 Buckeyes 31, #8 Razorbacks 26

In his final game in the Scarlet and Gray, quarterback Terrelle Pryor (No. 2) led Ohio State to its first postseason win against a Southeastern Conference School, 31-26, against Arkansas in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The win was ultimately vacated, however, as Pryor and four other juniors were busted for selling memorabilia for discounted tattoos; he entered the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft during the offseason, while the others were handed five-game suspensions. It was also Jim Tressel’s final game on the sideline, as he resigned amidst the scandal.

Gators 24, Buckeyes 17

Quarterback Braxton Miller (No. 5) threw for two touchdowns, but was sacked a season-high six times as Florida topped Ohio State, 24-17, in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. Former Gators head coach Urban Meyer was given plenty of attention during the game, as it was announced just one month prior that he accepted the same position in Columbus after a one-year hiatus from coaching. The Buckeyes wore helmet decals for former quarterbacks coach Joe Daniels and Jean Bruce, the wife of former head coach Earle Bruce, who both passed in December.

#12 Tigers 40, #7 Buckeyes 35

Quarterback Braxton Miller (No. 5) did his best to lead the Buckeyes to a win in the Discover Orange Bowl, but Clemson’s tandem of quarterback Tajh Boyd and receiver Sammy Watkins were too much for the defense to handle. The 40-35 loss was Ohio State’s second in a row after having won each of its previous 24 under head coach Urban Meyer.
