Quarterback Terrelle Pryor (No. 2) passed for a career-high 266 yards and two touchdowns, including a 17-yard score to receiver DeVier Posey with just over seven minutes to play, ending Ohio State’s three-game BCS skid with a 26-17 win over Oregon in the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes’ much-maligned offense kept the high-scoring Ducks off the field and held the ball for a Rose Bowl-record 41:37 time of possession.
Sugar Bowl vs Arkansas – Jan. 4, 2011

In his final game in the Scarlet and Gray, quarterback Terrelle Pryor (No. 2) led Ohio State to its first postseason win against a Southeastern Conference School, 31-26, against Arkansas in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The win was ultimately vacated, however, as Pryor and four other juniors were busted for selling memorabilia for discounted tattoos; he entered the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft during the offseason, while the others were handed five-game suspensions. It was also Jim Tressel’s final game on the sideline, as he resigned amidst the scandal.

Gators 24, Buckeyes 17
Quarterback Braxton Miller (No. 5) threw for two touchdowns, but was sacked a season-high six times as Florida topped Ohio State, 24-17, in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. Former Gators head coach Urban Meyer was given plenty of attention during the game, as it was announced just one month prior that he accepted the same position in Columbus after a one-year hiatus from coaching. The Buckeyes wore helmet decals for former quarterbacks coach Joe Daniels and Jean Bruce, the wife of former head coach Earle Bruce, who both passed in December.
Discover Orange Bowl vs Clemson – Jan. 3, 2014

Quarterback Braxton Miller (No. 5) did his best to lead the Buckeyes to a win in the Discover Orange Bowl, but Clemson’s tandem of quarterback Tajh Boyd and receiver Sammy Watkins were too much for the defense to handle. The 40-35 loss was Ohio State’s second in a row after having won each of its previous 24 under head coach Urban Meyer.
Allstate Sugar Bowl vs Alabama – Jan. 1, 2015
#4 Buckeyes 42, #1 Crimson Tide 35
Running back Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 230 yards —85 of which came through the heart of the South — to lead Ohio State to a 42-35 upset of top-ranked Alabama in the College Football Playoff Semifinal. Both teams wore the playoff trophy logo decal on their helmets. All four playoff teams wore special Nike Diamond Quest uniforms, with Ohio State giving a nod to its 1968 national championship team.
CFP National Championship vs Oregon – Jan. 12, 2015

Running back Ezekiel Elliott (No. 15) rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns to help Ohio State run over Oregon, 42-20, in the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship. The Buckeyes wore the home version of their “Diamond Quest” alternate uniforms.
BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl vs Notre Dame – Jan. 1, 2016
#7 Buckeyes 44, #8 Fighting Irish 28
Quarterback J.T. Barrett (No. 16) threw for 211 yards and a touchdown with 96 yards rushing to help the Buckeyes throttle Notre Dame, 44-28, in the BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl. Barrett was named game’s most valuable offensive player.
PlayStation Fiesta Bowl vs Clemson – Dec. 31, 2016
#2 Tigers 31, #3 Buckeyes 0
Heisman runner-up Deshaun Watson rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another as eventual national champion Clemson blanked Ohio State, 31-0. The Tigers contained the Buckeyes’ offensive attack and forced quarterback J.T. Barrett (No. 16) to throw two interceptions.
